GCP (EGG) Software Packages |
Release 5.1 of the software is the current version for Linux operating systems. The program you need is "eggsh" and you can download the eggware.tgz tarball, which includes binaries for eggsh, a sample configuration file and a little instruction, as well as a small test program called regtest. A version for the Araneus USB RNG is available in a tarfile called araneusware.tgz which contains binaries for eggsh, a sample .eggrc, and a special README. A version of the eggsh program that does not give any runtime feedback, and so does not need a window, is available. This nogui eggsh can be used in situations where an automatic startup after a reboot is necessary (compiled under RedHat 6.0; not thoroughly tested, but we have had no reports of problems). For those running Debian Linux, a new package with the GCP egg software is included in Debian 2.2, and can be found at www.debian.org. If you have a different Linux or UNIX, you can try the binaries, above, but you may wish to compile on your system. You can download the source code package called (eggsrc.tgz). For the USB version the source code package is at egg_araneus.tgz. |
